Factory idler boxes are a common source of steering wander, excessive play, and loose handling in ageing Super Duty trucks. Over time, wear develops within the factory steering system, creating unwanted movement between components and resulting in vague steering feel and inconsistent handling.

This Idler Box Delete Kit removes the factory secondary/idler steering box, allowing the truck to steer directly from the main steering box only. By simplifying the steering system and eliminating a major wear point, the kit helps reduce steering slop, minimise front-end wander, and improve overall steering response and control. The system is designed to return the steering geometry back to factory alignment while also making it easier to install lift kits and upgraded suspension components in the future.

Kit Options

Standard Kit

Designed for trucks running up to a 3.5″ suspension lift and using the factory pitman arm. Ideal for stock-height or mildly lifted setups.

Lifted Kit

Designed for trucks with 4″ lift kits and above. Requires the use of a drop pitman arm to maintain correct steering geometry and optimal performance.
