Core Charge

Refundable Core Deposit

$1,650.00 AUD Inc GST

A refundable core charge applies to all transmissions.

The core deposit will be refunded once your original transmission has been returned and inspected.

Core Return Requirements

To qualify for a full core refund, the returned transmission must:

• Be the correct 4R100 transmission supplied on the invoice.
• Be complete and substantially assembled.
• Have a rebuildable transmission case.
• Have a rebuildable bellhousing.
• Have rebuildable hard parts.
• Not have excessive internal damage beyond normal wear.
• Not have a cracked or broken case.
• Not have broken mounting points or major external damage.
• Not have fire, flood or severe corrosion damage.
• Be returned with the torque converter (where applicable).
• Be returned within 30 days of receiving your replacement transmission, unless otherwise agreed in writing.

Freight Information

• Australia-wide freight is available.
• Freight charges are calculated separately and are based on your location.
• We can arrange both delivery of your rebuilt transmission and return freight for your exchange (core) transmission, making the changeover process as simple as possible.
• Customers may also organise their own freight if preferred.
• For safe handling and to minimise freight costs, transmissions are best shipped to and from a commercial address equipped with a forklift or loading facilities.
• Residential deliveries and collections are available; however, additional freight charges may apply where tailgate services or special handling are required.
• Please ensure your exchange transmission is securely packaged to prevent damage during transit. Damage sustained during freight may affect the eligibility for a full core refund.

12-Month Warranty

Every RECO Heavy Duty 4R100 4WD Transmission is backed by a 12-month warranty against defects in workmanship and materials, giving you confidence in the quality of our rebuilds.

Warranty Conditions

To maintain warranty coverage:

• Transmission must be installed by a qualified automotive technician or transmission specialist.
• Transmission cooler must be professionally flushed or replaced prior to installation.
• Only the manufacturer-recommended transmission fluid is to be used.
• Fluid levels must be checked and maintained correctly.
• Any transmission tuning or modifications must be suitable for the application.
• Proof of professional installation and purchase may be required for warranty claims.

Warranty Exclusions

The warranty does not cover failures resulting from:

• Incorrect installation.
• Failure to flush or replace the transmission cooler.
• Incorrect or contaminated transmission fluid.
• Overheating.
• Lack of servicing or maintenance.
• Abuse, misuse or competition use.
• Excessive horsepower or torque beyond the intended application.
• Accident, impact, water ingress or external damage.
• Labour costs associated with removal or reinstallation unless otherwise agreed in writing.
• Freight or transport costs associated with warranty claims.

Warranty is limited to the repair or replacement of defective transmission components at the discretion of Striker Trucks.
